CONEK 4

John Barr goes by the DJ name 'CONEK4' and has recently won a DJ competition in Cardiff. He is a UWIC student who thrives off his turntables and loves what he does. His mains Genres are Drum & Base, Hip hop, funk, break beat and just recently Dubstep. Here are a couple of ideas I am creating to promote his name. I will keep you updated on the final designs.

Poster Experiment

This is a poster I created after taking pictures from bonefire night. I wanted to create an eire looking atmosphere but make using distorted typography. I fell this has given off a desired effect, but am still working on it. There is more to come...

London trip discovery

Discovery in London, Harrods store. Interactive football projector!? This works by the infrared light being beamed down onto a surface, on the form of a football pitch. Then when a person enters the infrared rays they're shadowed figure is detected. This then allows the moving ball to be re directed when the person hits it. Interesting!

Stockholm illustration

I stumbled across this on the web. I love how the illustrations join together, EFFECTIVE use of ink!!

3D Paintings

Ron van der Ende

From his hometown Rotterdam, Ron developed a love for painting, which in art college turned into sculpture. Now he produces his work from the best of both worlds, painting on his sculptures. I came across Ron van der Ende through a well loved website www.notcot.org, from which I get a lot of fresh inspiration from.

The shadow from the sculpture adds to the 3D feel of the bus.

I love the complexity behind his pieces.

My first post

Here we have the beginnings of a new revolution, of why, where and how my mind works. This can be from what I enjoy looking at with my morning coffee to a spanking new typography that catches my eye.
